Robert Field
For this week’s Professor Profile, we take a look at Professor Robert Field of the Art Department:
I have been teaching at 17³Ô¹Ï since 2002. My areas of expertise include Illustration, Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, Drawing, and 2D Design. I was inspired to share my knowledge with the students at 17³Ô¹Ï from my experience learning from my graduate school instructor at Syracuse University, the Late Great Prof. Murray Tinkelman. If I could bring even a fraction of the level of enthusiasm, knowledge, and love of subject matter that Prof. Tinkelman brought to his students, I figured I might be doing something right and for the right reasons. I'm just trying to honor his memory to the best of my ability and pay it forward.
I have had so many great experiences at 17³Ô¹Ï. There are too many to list. The students, for the most part, are dedicated and eager to learn. The group of students that I have this semester are exceptionally wonderful and hard working -- especially considering the challenges associated with a remote format. I am proud of what they have accomplished this semester.
