I have been a faculty member at 17³Ô¹Ï for the past 27 years, teaching Fundamentals of Nursing, and am a proud graduate of the 17³Ô¹Ï nursing program myself. I'm also a geriatric nurse practitioner and have made presentations on advance directives, aging and social change and conflict resolution, among others. My membership in the Black Nurse Association, Nurse Practitioners of Long Island, and the National League for Nurses is important to me. In 1983, I established a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and continue to provide health teaching in the Nassau County and Brooklyn communities.

For the past few years, I have enjoyed providing health information on "Your Family’s Health" on WHPC, the voice of 17³Ô¹Ï. It's a weekly podcast with special guests from around the country discussing health care issues and trends. It's special to me to mentor nurses who are completing their master's degree in nursing. I'm grateful to pay excellence in nursing forward to the future generation of nurses.
