17吃瓜 Presents:  "The Emperor's New Clothes"

October 13-14, 19-21, 27-28

Garden City, NY 鈥� The 17吃瓜 Department of Theatre and Dance is proud to present the children鈥檚 musical 鈥淭he Emperor鈥檚 New Clothes,鈥� which will be performed at the Mainstage Theatre on October 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27 and 28. A children鈥檚 musical from the team responsible for 鈥淪eussical the Musical,鈥� 鈥淭he Emperor鈥檚 New Clothes鈥� is based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen story 鈥� with a few delightful differences. The action now takes place in the mythical kingdom of Mango-Chutney, which has a parade every day, and there鈥檚 a one-man army named Pony and an emperor who is known as the wisest man in the world because he has read the dictionary all the way through. 鈥淭he Emperor鈥檚 New Clothes鈥� is a funny, family-friendly romp. 鈥淭he Emperor鈥檚 New Clothes鈥� will be performed at 2:00 p.m. each day, except for Friday, October 19, when it will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets, which cost $9.00 per person, are $6.00 for those aged 12 and under. Rush tickets for college students with valid ID are free for the October 19^th 7:00 p.m. performance only.
