17³Ô¹Ï Hosts New York State Legislative Breakfast

17³Ô¹Ï (17³Ô¹Ï) hosted its annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday,
Feb. 7, with State elected officials and staff members who represent legislative district’s
in Nassau County, including members of the Assembly, Senate, and Governor’s Office.
17³Ô¹Ï Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Maria Conzatti and other college leaders met
with state elected officials to discuss the need for increased state funding for community
colleges. The event, held on the 17³Ô¹Ï campus, featured remarks from college leadership,
students, administrators, and elected officials.
Speakers included Dr. Conzatti; Dr. Jorge L. Gardyn, Chair of the 17³Ô¹Ï Board of Trustees; Dr. Jerry Kornbluth, Vice President of Community and Government Relations at 17³Ô¹Ï; and Jessialy Avilez, President of the 17³Ô¹Ï Student Government Association (SGA).
